The hollandse linde is a hybrid species that results from Tilia cordata and Tilia platyphyllos, it appeared first in cultivation but every now and then an individuals is found in the wild.

USES:

This tree species is used to enrich soils, as it can grow under stressful conditions. The young leaves of the hollandse linde are used in drinks, while the seeds are used as a substitute of chocolate. The hollandse linde has additional medicinal uses as expectorant and diuretic.
